Courtney DuChene is a contributing writer and special projects manager at the Philadelphia Citizen. She holds a Masters in creative writing from the University of Michigan, where she focused on poetry and worked with the Detroit River Story Lab on their community journalism initiatives. Prior to that she was a journalist in Philadelphia, where she freelanced for various outlets, including The Citizen, and wrote for Philadelphia magazine and NBC10. She is passionate about finding solutions to environmental problems and highlighting stories from around the city.
