Ideas We Should Scale Showcase

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

The Philadelphia Citizen, in partnership with The M. Night Shyamalan Foundation and Impact(Ed), is thrilled to introduce the inaugural Ideas We Should Scale Showcase to highlight problem-solving organizations in Philadelphia that are seeking to scale their impact.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. We invite qualifying nonprofits, benefit corporations and Certified B Corps in the Philadelphia region to apply for this year’s program by August 1, 2025. All entrants will have the opportunity for their submission video to be shared online through The Philadelphia Citizen’s website and social media platforms.
  2. Three applicants will be chosen by a panel of judges to present their work to a room of potential funders and the general public on November 13, 2025 as part of the kickoff event for the 8th annual Ideas We Should Steal Festival presented by Comcast NBCUniversal.
  3. Each of the three presenters will receive a $1,600 honorarium, provided by Visit Philadelphia, for their participation. They will also receive coaching from experienced nonprofit advisors.

Please read the entry criteria, then apply here. We can’t wait to learn more about your organization and its goals for scaling!

ENTRY CRITERIA

Please enter if you are:

  • A nonprofit, registered benefit corporation, or Certified B Corp with an operating budget of under $2 million
  • Operating within the Philadelphia region
  • Able to demonstrate impact in the region
  • Able to explain how you would scale your operations within Philadelphia
  • Willing to have your video submission shared widely on The Philadelphia Citizen and social media
  • Willing and able to present your idea at the Ideas We Should Scale Showcase on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Fitler Club Ballroom in Center City
  • Available to spend up to 5 hours preparing for your presentation with an expert in nonprofit funding
