Ralph Thorn is an employee at the Philadelphia CitizenRachael (Ralph) Thorn, is a North Carolina native who has called Philadelphia home since 2016. She has run operations for nonprofit, for profit and public service sectors. After a bout in city government working on children’s health and wellbeing initiatives, she joined a local hospitality company as director of operations.

Just prior to The Citizen, she held down operations at a leadership coaching firm, working with dozens of growth-stage companies and leaders in Philadelphia’s entrepreneur ecosystem.

Anything community wellness — affecting children, families or food systems — you can count her in on the conversation. She spends free time doing graphic design, ceramics, and exploring nature and green spaces in and around the city.

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Asheville with bachelor degrees in both French and International Studies, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Humanitarian Action at the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at the University of San Diego.
