Ralph Thorn is an employee at the Philadelphia CitizenRachael (Ralph) Thorn, is a North Carolina native who has called Philadelphia home since 2016. She has led operations for nonprofit, for-profit and public service sectors. After a bout in city government working on children’s health and wellbeing initiatives, she held roles in hospitality and leadership coaching supporting entrepreneurs and growth-stage companies throughout Philadelphia. She is also a ceramicist under the name Third Person Pottery and spends her free time making art or finding inspiration in Wissahickon Park.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in both French and International Studies from UNC Asheville, and holds a Master of Science in Humanitarian Action from the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at the University of San Diego.
