On Tuesday night, MSNBC’s Ali Velshi; The Washington Post’s Ashley Parker; and The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jonathan Tamari joined Citizen co-founder/editor Larry Platt in front of 130 people for a fascinating, rousing and ultimately inspiring conversation about the state of the free press in Pres. Trump’s America. The trio—all with local ties—revealed what it’s like to cover this administration (hint: it involves very early mornings); how they respond to criticism (from the right and the left); and how they hold fast to their principles (they just do it).
