EVENT: WURD’s Philly Farm Social

Tonya Hopkins

Food and Drink Historian

Christopher Bolden Newsome

Founding Co-Director of Sankofa Farm

This Friday, join WURD and Bartram’s Garden Sankofa Community Farm for an evening of learning and discovery throughout the urban farming world and find out what it looks like in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Philly Farm Social brings the farm-to-table experience closer to home through cooking demonstrations as part of an environmental initiative with ecoWURD. Learn more about urban gardening and seasonal cooking at this summer evening event.

The Citizen is a partner for the event, which will include a guest appearance by Foodizen podcaster Tonya Hopkins, a food and drinks historian known as the Food Griot. See more about Foodizen here.

The Philadelphia Citizen will only publish thoughtful, civil posts. We want to be a communal space. But that doesn’t mean you have a First Amendment right to be an idiot. Send us an insulting, offensive and/or wildly off-topic comment and not only will we refrain from posting it -- we will laugh at you before we hit delete.
