Two Years & Counting!

Last month, The Philadelphia Citizen turned two!

As part of our celebration, we announced a birthday challenge to raise $5,000 dedicated to enhanced education coverage in honor of the back to school season.

Over 60 new and returning members championed our movement by making donations as part of The Citizen’s September Membership Drive. In fact, we exceeded our goal and raised $5,800.

The Citizen’s community of supporters continue to inspire us with your spirit and courage, which are essential to working towards this common goal of making Philadelphia even better.

Can you help us raise an extra $1,000? If you haven’t yet made a membership gift, just click the link below to do so.

The Citizen is possible because of your support.

As a nonprofit independent media organization, The Philadelphia Citizen relies on the generosity of our members and donors to make our stories free and accessible. We invite you to get more involved in the life of The Philadelphia Citizen. Membership starts as low as $35 for an individual membership, and we offer monthly payment options, too.

Together, we can move Philadelphia forward.

Support local independent journalism today! Please Support The Citizen by making a tax-deductible donation or to become a member.

The Philadelphia Citizen will only publish thoughtful, civil posts. We want to be a communal space. But that doesn’t mean you have a First Amendment right to be an idiot. Send us an insulting, offensive and/or wildly off-topic comment and not only will we refrain from posting it -- we will laugh at you before we hit delete.
